Lyon revealed on Sunday night what has been an open secret for the past few hours: the replacement of Peter Bosz on the bench and the appointment of Laurent Blanc in his place. At 56 years old, the former Barça central defender has signed a contract until June 2024.
Lyon’s poor start to the campaign (they have lost four and drawn one of their last five Ligue 1 games) and the coach’s disagreement with half the dressing room has led to an unsustainable situation.
According to RMC Sport, “the departure of the coach (Bosz) was recorded on Saturday afternoon in a meeting with the management of Lyon.”
