Taminiaux won the fifth stage of the Tour of Langkawi and Sosa continued to lead

the Belgian Lionel Taminiaux (Alpecin-Deceuninck) won the sprint at fifth stage of the Tour of Langkawi with a time of 3:41:422 to Dutchman Julius Van Den Berg (EF Education), while the Colombian Ivan Ramiro Sosa (Movistar) is still the head of the general.

There were no important differences on a flat stage with only one tack, a second category stop at km 62.5, where Movistar controlled the race without major problems.

Third place on the stage went to Australian Carter Bettles (ARA) who came within 4 seconds behind the winner.

In the general classification, Iván Ramiro Sosa maintained an advantage of 23 seconds over Englishman Hugh Carthy (EF Education) and 2.02 minutes over his compatriot and teammate Einer Augusto Rubio, who was third.

The sixth stage, completely flat, will run between George Town and Alor Setar with 120.4 kilometers.
