Dani Alves, a former Barça and Sevilla player, is interested in taking over Amora, a club in Portugal’s Third Division, according to sports newspaper Record.
Alves, 39, is part of a group of investors who want to join the Amora project, which is 75% owned by the Spanish group Odemira Capital.
Meeting with a Spanish businessman
The same publication also claims that Alves, who is currently a member of Mexico’s UNAM Pumas, has already addressed the issue in a meeting in Barcelona with Spanish businessman José María Gallego, owner of the aforementioned group, president of SAD and majority shareholder of modest. Portuguese club, as well as being a Betis shareholder.
Negotiations are at an initial stage and at the moment it is not known if the intention of the former Barça player is to take over part or all of the team.
Amora, a club from the municipality of the same name about 20 kilometers from Lisbon, currently plays in Liga 3 of Portuguese football and was acquired by Odemira Capital in mid-2021.
