Medvedev defeated Sinner and reached the semifinals in Vienna

Sinner, who is playing for a ticket to the ATP Finals in Turin in Vienna, blamed mistakes in the first games and forgave some shots that translated into an initial 2-0 advantage for the Russian.

The Italian opted for an aggressive exchange of blows to close the gap, but on the other side of the net Medvedev showed why he is the great favorite of the tournament. The former number 1 led the match without dropping a serve and closed out the first set 6-4 with precision in the rest.

The Russian also had no trouble closing out the second set 6-2 against the young Italian, who he has won the last four times they have met indoors.

The Russian, champion of the Los Cabos tournament, closed out the match in one hour and 30 minutes and confirmed his excellent form with three consecutive victories.

Already in the semifinals, Medvedev now meets the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrovwho knocked out Rublev, third favorite of the tournament, in the second round, and the American Marcos Giron in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

If he wins this tour, the Russian can get the fifteenth title of his sports career.
