The Circuit Ricardo Tormo will renew the asphalt of its Grand Prix track next summer and this is the third time it has been done after its inauguration in 1999 and the complete re-floating that was carried out in 2012.
The Valencian track will premiere across the 58,536 square meters of new asphaltthose that make up its 4,005 meter long track, a resurfacing that will be reviewed by all the authorities and federations that use the Circuit, including the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
With this resurfacing, grip on the track will increase, thus increasing safety and facilitating the maintenance tasks that the track receives every day.
In addition to the complete resurfacing of 2012, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo also carried out a reform of this kind on the 460 meters of the last part of the finish line in 2016, in the braking zone, a proposal that was also very well received by the teams, pilots and federations.
“The complete resurfacing of the track is another example of our strong commitment to safety and the continuous improvement of our facilities.. It will be one of the great works of 2023, but not the only one, because the maintenance of green areas, common areas, stands, holes will continue… if we want to host the best competitions, we will not must stop working so that every day we have the best facilities available to our guests”, declared the general director of the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Gonzalo Gobert.
