Monaco did not fail to eliminate Red Star and pass as second

Date:

Monaco did not disappoint and with a stellar performance from Kevin Volland they prevailed against Red Star to confirm their presence in the next round of the Europa League. The Monegasque team will access the playoff round and will have to face the losers in the Champions League after finishing behind Frencvaros in Group H.

Monaco’s victory began to take shape the moment it began, with Kevin Volland’s goal taking advantage of a terrible start by the Red Star goalkeeper (5′). Just before half time in the game, the German scored again, scoring a loose ball inside the Serbian area (27′).

Monaco dominated the first half with gusto, but in the second they let go of the reins and allowed Red Star to create danger. Earlier, a Golovin cross went into the Serbian goal to set up Rodic’s own goal (50′).

After that, Badiashile’s penalty on Ivanic allowed Kanga to bring Estrella into the game. The scare would come a few minutes later when Pesic produced a second for the visitors, but luckily Monegasque’s VAR disallowed the target for offside.

Monaco will not be surprised, who can match their performance with Volland’s third goal and expect a rival in the knockout round before the round of 16.
