Palomino’s sanction for doping has been lifted

The Italian National Anti-Doping Court (TNA) the suspension of Argentine José Luis Palomino, player of Atalanta, was lifted caution imposed for a positive nandrolone, a substance prohibited by regulation, as reported by the Italian agency ANSA on Monday.

Because of this, the player was suspended in a precautionary manner by TNA pending a counter-analysis conducted on August 12 and that, again, was positive.

The presence of this substance in his metabolism was confirmed, the player was suspended, unable to play matches until the case was resolved after the judicial process.

Palomino, 32, was interviewed on November 4 by TNA and declared that he felt “calm” while expressing his desire to play again as soon as possible: “I spoke with the judge and reiterated my position, now we wait and hope that everything will be over soon,” said he once the hearing with the judge. Finished.

Palomino, who recently renewed with the Italian team until 2025thereby avoiding a punishment that would have kept him off the pitch for two years and now he can return to routine with the ‘Dea’ under the command of a Gian Piero Gasperini who once showed his support for to the player.

“We know very well what their morals are. His involuntariness in the face of the situation is quite clear. We lost a very important player at the beginning of the season”, said Gasperini when he learned of the precautionary suspension of his defense.
