The coach of Valencia, the Italian Gennaro Gattuso, said after the 3-0 victory at the Mestalla against Betis that his team had a good game, although he admitted that it helped them that his rival played better in the last half hour.
“It was not the most complete game we played but the team played well, we pressed well, but it helped a lot that Betis played with ten. The team this season played three or four which was a very good game, I think in Atlético. it was the best in Mestalla,” he said.
“We’ve had two or three games where the team is going in the right direction. We played very well on the break, for the first time we were able to shoot three or four times from outside. We did well. because it’s not easy , although Betis lost three or four important players, this is a dangerous team. In the first half on the counterattack they had chances to score but we played with a good mentality”, he concluded.
Despite snapping a five-game winless streak, the Italian coach said he was happy for the team but this victory does not change the opinion he already has of his players and their work.

“I am very happy for the team because it gives me life in training. Nothing changes for me, I am 44 years old, I have many games to train.
