At the age of 67, Marcelo Bielsa is in talks with Bournemouth to return to the Premier League after his successful spell at Leeds between June 2018 and February 2022. Gary O’Neil has led the ‘cherries’ on an interim basis since Steve Parker was fired in August.
According to the BBC, Bielsa’s option is alive after American businessman Bill Foley accelerated negotiations to buy Bournemouth.
After a six-game unbeaten run that put them at the top of the table, Bournemouth have lost four in a row and fallen just one point from the relegation positions. But this Saturday’s victory over Everton (3-0) allowed them to reach the Premier break with renewed optimism as they went from 17th to 13th place.
