Guardiola declares at Mendy’s trial: “I am not his father”

Pep Guardiolatechnician of City of Manchestertestify at trial for violation of Benjamin Mendy and said that he is not her father and that he does not get involved in the private lives of his footballers.

Mendywhich remains suspended by citypleaded not guilty to seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault against six women.

“I control my players when they are together in training. In their private life, I don’t know what they do. I don’t follow the players on social networks and I don’t know what they do outside of training and games . I am not their father”, statement Guardiola.

Guardiola commented that it was Mendy who asked him to testify at the trial and spoke about the French personality.

“He is a great boy. I would say he is very generous. He is always happy and I remember that when we are all together and someone asks for a favor, if he can, he will do it. He quickly adapts to the teams and is very happy to help their peers,” he added.
