The vehicle to be used for the series will be a Tatuus T421 chassis with turbocharged engine, 165 horsepowersupplied by Auto Técnica, and Formula 1 global partner Pirelli, will provide the tires, as they already do in F3, F2 and F1.
The head of the competition is Bruno Michel (Managing Director, Formula Motorsport Limited), who has the knowledge and experience of successfully running the lower categories on a reasonable budget and helping drivers develop.
Formula 1 will subsidize each car with a budget of 150,000 euros (2.25 million euros in total) and will require the drivers to cover the same amount, which represents a fraction of the usual costs in a similar competition and the teams will contribute the rest of the budget.
