The FIFA has announced this Tuesday the final capacity of the eight stadiums where the Qatar World Cup 2022higher than previously expected.
After the inaugural match, played by the host team and Ecuador, and during Monday’s matches, an attendance higher than the pre-planned capacity was announced, FIFA determined the capacity of each of the fields.
At the Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor, an attendance of 67,372 fans was announced in the stands to witness the clash between the Qatari team and La Tri, when the capacity was initially expected to be 60,000.
The same thing happened in the England-Iran match, which, despite having a capacity of 40,000 at the Khalifa International in Doha, was attended by 45,334 people; and in Senegal-Netherlands, 41,721 spectators were announced when Al Thumama’s capacity was set at 40,000.
The new official capacities are as follows: Al Bayt (68,895), Khalifa International (45,857), Al Thumana (44,400), Ahmad Bin Ali (45,032), Lusail (88,966), 974 (44,089), Education City (44,667 ) and Al Janoub (44,325).
