His nervousness has become his downfall. Police officers arrested a 17-year-old man at Vienna’s Westbahnhof on Monday afternoon who was carrying a heavy and dangerous load. 15 kilograms of illegal fireworks were seized from him.
The boy caught the attention of the standby unit officers in the afternoon. He got very nervous when he saw the officers, grabbed a bag and ran to the main exit.
The young suspect didn’t get far, he was stopped moments later – and immediately gave the officials a clean slate. The 17-year-old opened the bag, the policemen were amazed: 720 class F3 and P1 firecrackers appeared inside. Sales value: around 650 euros.
The 17-year-old Austrian originally intended to sell the fireworks. Now nothing comes of it anymore. The fireworks were secured and the young suspect was reported.
