Gregg Berhalter, the coach of the United States, explained that he was proud of his team’s performance against England (0-0), but they still have work to do to qualify for the round of 16.
The US team earned a hard-fought draw against England, in a match where they deserved more and left them with two points in third place in Group B of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
“I am very proud of the work of my boys, but we still have work ahead of us,” said Berhalter in a press conference.
“We know that with five points we are going (to the round of 16) and we have to focus on getting those five points,” added the American coach.
The United States will play for qualification in the round of 16 in the final match of the group stage against Iran, while England will look for a pass against Wales, who are bottom of the group with one point.
