the portuguese Carlos Carvalhalcoach of Celta Vigorevealed this Monday that his team will play four friendly matches –Boavista, Vizela, Brentford and Fulham- before resuming the competition in the Copa del Rey tie that will face Gernika in the Basque Country.
The light blue squad will return to work today after enjoying a two-week holiday due to the World Cup break in Qatar, with a session at Afouteza sports city, where they will work throughout the week without World Cup players Joseph Aidoo ( Ghana) and Luca de la Torre (United States).
The Portuguese coach confirmed that next week they will go to Portugal to face Boavista and Vizela, two top-flight teams that will help, in his opinion, to check Celta’s level.
“They are two teams without holidays, and for us it is important to face competitive teams,” said Carvalhal, who revealed that they will travel to England to face Brentford and Fulham.
