MRI confirms Juan Cruz’s injury

Date:

The last magnetic resonance performed this Thursday at the end of Betic Juan Cruz came to confirm that he is suffering from a semitendinosus injury in the hamstring muscles of his left leg, which will cause him to miss between six and eight weeks of competition. The footballer will continue the conservative treatment he has been doing for a few days in the Luis del Sol sports city.

Juan Cruz does not need to undergo surgery to treat this injury, which is very similar to what Sergio Canales suffered on November 17, 2020 playing with the Spanish team in La Cartuja against Germany, and keeps him in dry dock for a month and moderate, because the pitcher, after a record recovery, reappeared on December 29 against Levante.

Juan Cruz suffered an injury in the last game of Real Betis’ tour of Argentina and Chile against Colo-Colo, on November 19, and if everything goes normally, he should be able to play again after the Super Cup of Spain, which is the second semifinal Betis will play against FC Barcelona on January 12, 2023.

For Betis’ return to competition, Manuel Pellegrini hopes to recover Juanmi, Luiz Felipe and Joaquín, who from December 6 will join training with the rest of his teammates.
