England statement on Southgate

Date:

The FA (Football Association) announced this Sunday the continuation of the Gareth Southgate in the bank of England, despite the doubts that arose when the English team was eliminated from the World Cup in Qatar in the quarterfinals at the hands of France. The FA has confirmed that Southgate will lead the team to Euro 2024.

$(“.twitter-tweet”).closest( “span” ).append(x);
});

This can be deduced from the tweet posted by the FA: “Thank you for your amazing support. See you in March for the start of our qualifying campaign!”, they wrote, along with the text with an image of Southgate . The 52-year-old coach was appointed in 2016 and led the Three Lions to the World Cup semifinals in 2018 and a first Euro final in 2021.

“We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate will continue as England manager and lead our Euro 2024 campaign,” FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said.
