Concern about the state of health of Gianluca Vialli after his mother and brother decided to travel to London to visit him in hospital where he was battling pancreatic cancer.
Corriere della Sera reported that the coach, who last week resigned as coach of Italy to treat the disease, his relatives visited him during the weekend, as his condition may have worsened.
Vialli suffered a relapse, as in 2017 he was diagnosed for the first time with pancreatic cancer for which he was treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital. In April 2020, he received the go-ahead and fully recovered, so he was able to join Roberto Mancini in winning the 2020 Euro Cup with Italy.
