The Court declared proven in the judgment that Sito Pons, 250cc world champion in 1988 and 1989, in the years between 2010 and 2014 “traveled more than 200 days on circuits around the world and was not a tax resident in Spain, but in Monaco (2010 to 2012) and the United Kingdom (2013 to 2014)”.

The sentence also states that the athlete “declared as a taxpayer income from work for others and self-employment, as well as interest earned.”

Likewise, the court proved that most of Pons’ economic interests and financial assets and the core of its economic activity are “concentrated and located outside Spanish territory, with the exception of some properties in Spain”.
