Tite, a former Brazil coach, was robbed last week in Barra da Tijuca (west of Rio) while walking on the beach with his wife. The thief, riding a bicycle, stole a gold chain from the technician. The former coach’s lawyer confirmed the attack, but denied that the offender took the opportunity to blame Tite for the ‘canarinha’ performance at the World Cup, as published by some media.
Police said Tite did not file a complaint. The former Brazil coach has been in Rio since the ‘canarinha’ was eliminated against Croatia on penalties (4-2 after a 1-1 draw) in the quarterfinals of the World Cup, when Tite confirmed his departure and his coaching staff. Tite is resting before deciding what his future is after 2023.
