The astonville have signed the English midfielder Jordan Nobbs from Arsenal. The 30-year-old England international, who missed the Lionesses’ victorious Euro Cup campaign with a knee ligament injury, has signed an 18-month contract with an option to extend.
In a long farewell letter, Nobbs wrote: “I have cried so much these past few days because I knew it was coming and now the truth of it all is setting in. There is a saying that don’t cry because it’s over but smile because it happened, but I can do both, right?“.
“I said goodbye to my colleagues on Tuesday and cried from the time I entered until I left, because this is my home. This is all I have known for the past 12 years and now I have to say goodbye. I know it’s not really goodbye, but this part of my life is over and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’m going to leave the love of my life and that’s a really scary thing for me. But I don’t regret it in my mind because it’s been the perfect fairy taleeither”.
