Mountaineer makes history in Manaslu

Basque mountaineer Alex Txikon, 41, achieved on his third attempt a historic winter ascent of Manaslu, a summit located in Nepal. Only the one in Lemona (Vizcaya) has reached the summit of the eighth highest mountain in the world (8,163 meters) in winter since it was crowned by another expedition in 1983 at the same station.
