Finished in Qatar World Cup and the year, the FIFA announced the nominees for The Best 2022 Award the best soccer player in the world.
There are 14 names of candidates for the award that can be voted on until the ceremony on February 27: Julián Álvarez, Jude Bellingham, Karim Benzema, Kevin de Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Achraf Hakimi, Robert Lewandowki, Sadio Mané, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Luka Modric, Neymar, Mohamed Salah and Vinicius Junior.
As in the men’s category, FIFA also announced the nominees for The Best Women’s award, the Best Men’s and Women’s Coach and the Best Goalkeeper.
The votes are divided into four parts: 25% of journalists; 25%, captains of world teams; 25% are selective; and the remaining 25%, from the fans.
The The Best recognizes the best footballer of the year 2022, so Karim Benzema (current Ballon d’Or and League and Champions League champion) and Leo Messi (winner of the World Cup) will be great favourites.
