Osasuna’s coach, Jagoba Arrasate, has shown his intention to take “that step forward” that they need to take this Saturday against Mallorca to score their first victory of the year in front of their fans.
“It’s been a long time. The last five games are gone and we hope to play at El Sadar, meet our fans and take that step we need to take”, commented the coach on his return to his stadium two months later.
Arrasate indicated in a press conference that “the state of mind is better” with a point added to San Mamés after the league defeat against Real Sociedad and the “problems” in the Cup to get away from Nastic de Tarragona.
Regarding Mallorca, Arrasate warned that it is a “very complex team, which comes at a good moment, which is “very organized” and where it is very difficult to “generate chances”. Osasuna will need “speed, fluidity and play on the opponent’s field to make them uncomfortable.”
“We are in a phase in which each game is very important,” the coach stated emphatically, showing his clear intention to focus 100% on this event before doing the same against Betis in the Copa del Rey.
“We have to improve the offensive phase with the ball so that Mallorca suffers or these imbalances can occur in their defensive framework. Otherwise, we will have a hard time”, explained Arrasate about one of the keys.
The coach thinks his team will “definitely” take the initiative, something they must combine with not losing the ball, “maintain a high pace and stay patient.”
