Laia Sanz: “In the bad years you learn more and this is where I am doing my master’s degree”

Laia Sanz (Astara) indicated that in the penultimate stage of the Dakar he was disabled by a stomach virus and said that in this edition of the invasion he is doing a “master” for everything that happened to him.

Sanz, who in this Dakar recovered from a serious accident in the fifth stage that severely damaged his car, advocated “taking it philosophically”.

This Saturday he finished more than 27 minutes behind the stage winner, Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (Prodrive), just ahead of Spanish Isidre Esteve (Toyota) and more than a minute ahead of his Astara teammate who Carlos Checa.

Overall, he was sixty-seventh at 7:10:39 pm behind the leader, Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota).
