The members of Spanish track team will take part in Majorca Challenge with the aim of preparing their participation in European de Pista to be held in Grenchen (Switzerland) from February 8 to 12, according to the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEF).
The cyclists of the national track team will represent Spain in the various Challenge de Mallorca trophies, which will be held from January 25 to 29, with the aim of adding kilometers of competition to the first level that will allow them to reach the European Track.
The national track coach, Felix Garcia Casaswho will be in charge of directing the Spanish team in the Mallorca Challenge from the wheel, will give a group of 10 cyclists the opportunity to compete on Mallorcan soil.
Sebastián Mora, Erik Martorell, Jaime Romero, Alberto Pérez, Marc Terrasa and Francesc Bennassar They will wear the Spanish jersey along with four cyclists who have just finished their cycle as juniors: Beñat Garaiar, Alejandro Merenciano, Mario Anguela and Álvaro Navas.
The goal of this group of very young and talented riders is to “add valuable experience to their career by competing in professional races with some of the most famous cyclists on the planet,” the RFEF underlined in a statement.
García Casas will round out the presence of ten cyclists summoned across the five trophies that will make up the Challenge de Mallorca 2022.
