Simone Inzaghi, coach of Inter Milan, could not contain his euphoria after lifting the Italian Super Cup with an amazing performance (0-3) against Milan, the eternal rival. “I’m enjoying this trophy and starting tomorrow we will think about Serie A. Winning Milan like that in a final is wonderful,” said the coach in the press room.
“The boys were very good, they played a perfect match, they were clear and compact,” Simeone congratulated his players after winning the seventh Super Cup of Italy in Riyadh.
“As a coach, it’s great to see a team play like this. We won a very important title, it’s our second goal of the season after qualifying for the Champions League round of 16,” acknowledged the coach.
“I’m very proud of myself, my coaching staff and the players. We’ve been focused and aggressive, running a lot, with a lot of determination. We were not good in previous games but we came here for the trophy,” he added.
