FIFA announced this Sunday that, in accordance with the decision adopted yesterday, January 21, 2023 by the Bureau of the FIFA Council, the Sri Lanka Football Federation has been suspended until further notice. Consequently, he has been deprived of all his rights from yesterday and until further notice. On the one hand, national teams or club clubs do not have the right to participate in any international competition until the end of their suspension and, on the other hand, none of their members or officials will benefit from any development program , courses or training offered by FIFA and the AFC Confederation. Furthermore, FIFA reminding other Confederations and national federations that they cannot contact the country’s Federation or its teams in the field of sports while the said federation’s suspension is in effect. The Bureau of the FIFA Council or the FIFA Council may lift this suspension at any time before the next FIFA Congress takes place.
