Villarreal manager Unai Emery gave the squad two days off before facing the challenge of the semi-final first leg of the Champions League against Liverpool.
So, the players of the Castellón team will have just over 48 hours to rest and relax, with the idea to start work on Saturday morning in their sporting city and prepare for the match at Anfield.
The team will have four days of training before they travel to Liverpool, as the idea of the team from Castellón is to travel on Tuesday.
The league break this weekend due to the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, means Villarreal will have more days off than its rival, as Liverpool have to play this weekend, against Everton, the Merseyside derby, on the day corresponding to the Premier League.
Upon returning to training the team will only have the casualties of the injured Alberto Moreno and Gerard Moreno, who will not face off in the first game against the British team.
