The 24 Hours in the premier class was decided in the last minutes, in a duel between the #60 Acura of Meyer Shank Racing, defending champion, and the #10 Konica Minolta after leaving the Cadillac 1# and 2# of the Chip team Ganassi.
Tom Blomqvist manages to take the #60 Acura to the finish line as champion and hand over to his teammate Helio Castroneves his third win at Daytona, with a double for the Japanese brand thanks to the #10 Acura of Taylor, Albuquerque, Deletraz and Hartley entering 4″190.
