Monza pulled off the surprise against Juventus this weekend and its footballers have not been slow to demand that President Silvio Berlusconi fulfill his controversial promise.
The Italian leader promised at Christmas to bring them “a bus full of whores” if they managed to beat one of Italy’s big three (Inter, Milan and Juventus), a promise that drew criticism despite the fact that ” it’s just a simple joke from the locker room”.
Despite the fact that Berlusconi’s words were a joke, after Monza’s 0-2 defeat in Turin, many players contacted their president to get him to follow their proposal.
“Over 100 people have already called me, they ask me to fulfill the commitment,” explained the owner of Monza in a statement collected by La Repubblica.
