Hours after the transfer market closed and amid the ‘Caicedo case’, Brighton announced the signing of Yasin Ayari, a 19-year-old midfielder who arrived from Swedish AIK.
The English club closed the purchase of this young talent for around 6 million euros and the football player signed a contract until 2027.
“Yasin is a versatile and technical midfielder who is good on the ball and has the ability to play in the midfield. He had a wonderful spell in Sweden with AIK and we are delighted to have completed his move and welcome him to the club. He will need time to settle here and get used to the Premier League, but we are really looking forward to working with him,” said manager David Weir.
The signing of Yasin is nothing more than feeding the rumors about the possible departure of Moisés Caicedo. The Ecuadorian was publicly asked for a transfer after learning of an offer from Arsenal of 70 million euros, a proposal which Brighton rejected.
Roberto de Zerbi has not called up Caicedo for the clash against Liverpool in the FA Cup, adding fuel to speculation about the Ecuadorian midfielder’s future.
