The UEFA All member federations have just been informed of the major changes that have been approved and can be implemented with a view to the new appointment of category selections in Slovakia. Some changes that seek to be equated in a coherent way to all competitions organized by the European body.
One of the most important, and consistent with other competition regulations and the Regulations of UEFA on Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability of Uefa, It has to do with the title of the coach and his assistant on the bench. So, and henceforth, the selector of this category must be a degree holder
at least a license UEFA Aand the second coach, at least the license UEFA B. This is the second qualification category for coaches in the case of a coach and the third level in the case of an assistant.
There will be nine groups in the qualifying phase
In addition, there will be 52 teams that will participate in the qualifying phase already provided Liechtenstein will not participate in the competition, Slovakia which automatically qualifies as the organizer for the final tournament and Russia it is currently suspended until further notice following a decision made by UEFA in February 2022.
The 52 teams will be divided into 9 groups, with seven groups of six teams and two groups of five teams. The nine group champions and the three best runners-up qualify directly for the final stage and the other 6 runners-up play in a playoff for the remaining 3 spots.
In the final stage, when the entire competition is held Slovakia, The format for reaching the final was changed to ensure that two teams from the same group could not meet before the final.
