The trial celebrates its 30th anniversary on March 5 with special medals, activities and a second distance that goes from 11 to 10 kilometers to avoid crowds
The regional middle distance marked red on Sunday 5 March. The Cartagena Half Marathon begins the countdown to a very special edition, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the event in 2023. More than 600 people have already confirmed their attendance with just over a month to go before the starting gun.
For this thirtieth anniversary, the organization of the Cartagena Half Marathon is preparing activities and an exhibition of the Hyundai car brand, as well as personalized medals for that date. The route will be the same as every year, approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation. The 11-kilometer route becomes 10 kilometers to avoid the crowds in the historic center and to make it even faster.
The idea is to reach the 1,500 registered last year and even aim for 1,600. The song costs 14 euros and the forecast is to start at 10am from the Palacio de Deportes. Earlier, on February 12, the ‘King Of The Mountain’ will take place in the municipality, a test of 14 kilometers of mountain with a positive difference in height of 600 meters.
