Christophe Galtier: “The team must be at the service of Messi”

Date:

Christophe Galtier has the job of putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. With Mbappé’s injury and Neymar’s muscle discomfort, PSG face the visit of Toulouse tomorrow with Messi’s presence as a great attraction to secure the three points. In the preview, the French coach reviewed the current situation in Paris and offered a point of view regarding the rest of the season: “We have a high-quality team,” he assured.

The importance of Messi: “Obviously we lost without the connection between Mbappé and Neymar and it will force us to fix ourselves. The team has to be at Leo’s service. Everyone’s responsibility. In principle, we will see something similar to Montpellier. Later we will see who is with him in the attack”.

Mbappé’s injury: “If it can be avoided? All I know is that they are part of this trade. We are sad for Kylian, but we are in the same season, with a World Cup in between. We have taken many precautions since he returned from Qatar. We gave him vacations and he came back gradually, without much demand in terms of intensity. The injury was caused by a blow to the knee that affected him on a muscular level.

Market closing: “I’m not making excuses. We’ll compete with who we are, and there’s a lot of quality in the dressing room. I’m not disappointed and I don’t regret cutting the squad in the summer. We want to bring out some players and liven up the atmosphere. The team has responded well so far. It’s true that there are weight reductions, but also replacement parts with guarantees”.
