Along with other players in the Manchester United squad, Greenwood has been listed since Thursday afternoon, although at the moment the Old Trafford club has not decided what will happen to the player from now on. United suspended the striker when he was arrested a year ago.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Manchester’s police force. announced publicly, through its Chief Superintendent, Michaela Kerr, on Thursday that the charges against Greenwood, 21, had been dropped and that he charged with attempted rape, assault, control and coercive behavior. All of these are related to the same woman.
The Crown Prosecution Service considers there is no longer a “realistic prospect of a conviction” for Mason Greenwood. When Erik ten Hag became manager of Manchester Unitedsaid Greenwood will have a position on his team if he is found not guilty.
