Husillos remains within two hundred of his Spanish record of 200 meters indoors

Date:

The athlete from Palencia Oscar Husillos stayed this Saturday in Salamanca two hundredths of a second off his Spanish record of 200 meters indoorswhich he achieved five years ago in Valencia.

Husillos, with a clean and fast race, made a record of 20.70 secondswhile his record for Spain is 20.68.

After this mark, the man from Astudilla showed, in the statements to the media, his “anger” for a “good result”, although he is confident of achieving the record for Spainfor which he made “great preparations”.

Óscar Husillos participated this Saturday in the autonomous championships of Castilla y León, fully, on the indoor track held at the Carlos Gil Pérez track in Salamanca.

“I’m not leaving badly, but with a bitter tastebecause after some good scores I was not able to beat the record I achieved five years ago”, added the Spanish sprinter.

Husillos, who started on calle 5, was ahead of him by Óscar Eduardo Caicedo, who was in second place, and from his start he took the first position and pushed from the start.

However, and as he himself recognized, it was possible to “congeal the curve” that prevented him from leaving it with the same force and speed with which he entered.

In the end, Husillos stayed within two hundred of his record in Spain and now, as he explained, he will look for the minimum to participate in European athletics.
