Many football clubs in the Turkish league and players born or linked to the country are leading various actions to help those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syriawhich has already caused more than 6,000 deaths.
Galatasaray sent 6 trucks with relief supplies and up to 72 mobile toilets, while two other top clubs in the country, Fenerbahce and Besiktas, also sent vehicles with various materials.
Konyaspor moved 100 home containers and prepared its stadium to receive victims, something Antalyaspor also did, in addition to providing vehicles.
Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir provided winter clothes and other clubs such as Kayserispor, Ankaragücü or Giresunspor sent various supplies to the affected area.
Among the players playing in the Turkish league, the Brazilian Lincoln Henrique, from Fenerbahce, has openly announced his desire to welcome a family with children who are victims of the earthquake.
Support for those affected has also come from footballers born in Turkey who are developing their careers abroad.
Merih Demiral, former Juventus player and now at Atalanta, will auction a shirt signed by Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo to raise funds for the victims and center-back Çaglar Söyünkü sent material from Leicester.
