Kevin Parker, general secretary of the fan group City of Manchesterbelieves that the titles achieved in recent years will be “contaminated” if it is shown that the English team has committed financial irregularities in the last decade.
This week, the city was accused of premier league of having more than a hundred financial irregularities, after revealing a four-year investigation involving the English competition.
“I have put my faith in this team. Given the opportunity to plead not guilty or guilty, the club said they are innocent. Would I be disappointed if they are guilty? Of course, because part of my faith in what this club is labor is broken,” he said Parker on the podcast The Sports Desk.
“The day before the verdict and the day after, I will continue to be a fan of city and I will support it”, admitted Parkerwho also spoke about what would happen to the successes achieved by city last decade.
“The achievements will be contaminated if the club is guilty,” he said. Parker. “If I had any expectations as a fan of city is that it helps us to be more united. No matter what happens in the future, no one can take away the special moments we had.”
