The sports director of Valencia, Miguel Angel Corona and the director of institutional relations, Javier Solís, arrived in Singapore this Monday morning where they plan to meet in the next few hours with Peter Lim, the club’s leading shareholder, to analyze the team’s situation and a possible second bank replacement after the panic of Gennaro Gattuso and the initial bet for Voro González.
Due to the time difference, five hours away in the Asian country, and two work meetings scheduled, the final decision on the coach is expected to be known on Tuesday morning, Spanish time.
After chaining three consecutive defeats since Voro took over the squad, Corona is considering a new replacement on the bench with options such as Rubén Baraja or Vicente Moreno as candidates to try to revive the team. Voro himself was the first to advance his presentation that if the team does not react there must be a new change to avoid the dreaded relegation to Second.
It is expected that Corona will ask the owner that way but, in the end, one way or another it will be up to Lim to decide whether there is a replacement, accepting the evaluation of the director of football as good or rejecting it, even if it is to get a weekly margin.
In the event that he takes over from Voro, the next step is to see if he will accept any of Corona’s proposals, which will offer classic alternatives in these situations, or if the businessman has his own bet, such as happened last summer with Gattuso.
