Pogacar: “My legs responded perfectly”

the slovenian Tadej Pogacar (Team UAE Emirates), the winner of the second stage and leader of the general classification of the 69th edition of the Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucía, was happy this Thursday to repeat the victory in Alcalá la Real (Jaen)after the victory achieved on Wednesday in Santiago de la Espada in the first stage, and highlighted that his legs “respond perfectly” after the attack of the Bahrain team with Vitoria Michael Landa and the Colombian Santiago Buitrago.

The Slovenian emphasized that he was very comfortable that day and that he arrived at Alcalá la Real “with enough energy to fight for the victory” and that “luckily” he was able to “win despite the fact already more (Enric) persevered until the end,” he said in statements provided by his team.

Pogacar, after the victories achieved in the province of Jaén, now intends to manage the forces on Friday in the third phase, between Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville) and Alcalá de los Gazules (Cádiz), with route 160 kilometer

“This Friday we will try to have a race as relaxed as possible to not spend too much energy in our heads, but it will not be easy because all the teams want to run to the top”, he highlighted.
