The American Tommy Paul, second favorite, and the Romanian Radu Albot met in the quarterfinals of the Delray Beach tournament after settling their respective second-round commitments.
Albot, who became the champion of this competition in 2019, defeated the Australian Aleksandar Vikuc by double 6-4. Paul, the second seed, established his status as the favorite by defeating his compatriot Denis Kudla 6-3, 6-4.
The winner of the clash between Albot and Paul will face the winner of the clash between American Marcos Giron and Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, the fourth seed, in the semifinals.
On the other side of the draw, the first seed, the American Taylor Fritz defeated Ecuadorian Emiliano Gómez 6-4, 6-3 and will face Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in the quarterfinalswho defeated JJ Wolf 7-5, 6-2.
Americans Michael Mmoh and Mackenzie McDonald will play for the final spot in the semifinals of the tournament.
