The heat wave reached its peak on Thursday – but be careful: it will be very hot again at the weekend! Austria remains sweating up to 33 degrees, according to the weather experts from Geosphere Austria. But with the beginning of the week, the big cooling comes – and therefore lightning, thunder and lots of rain.
Friday starts mixed: Many clouds, time and again rain and local thunderstorms, some of which can all have it. Especially in the south and east, crashes well in the afternoon. In the north, on the other hand, the sun shows again. The temperatures dance between 22 and 33 degrees, accompanied by refreshing North Wind.
Sunshine in the morning hours
Early Risers can be happy – Brings Saturday Lots of sun, at least in the morning. From the morning but move in between Vorarlberg and the Mariazeller land first rain showers and thunderstorms. The east remains sunny and warm. Up to 32 degrees are possible.
Sunday also starts friendly – but it doesn’t stay that way: from noon there are already thick clouds. Schauers and thunderstorms are expanding nationally. Only north of the Danube stays dry a little longer. The temperatures rise again to 33 degrees before the west wind and the change in the weather will be announced in the evening.
Decent temperature drop from Monday
On Monday the weather finally makes: dense clouds, sometimes violent thunderstorms – especially between East -Tirol and the South Burgenland – create an uncomfortable atmosphere. In between the sun is still blinking, but: the temperatures crash to 20 to 28 degrees.
There is real on Tuesday April again in July: first many clouds, then short sun phases – and time and again rain shower, especially between Carinthia and Styria. The maximum values: only between 16 and 25 degrees!
