Erik Ten Hag is the next manager of Manchester United. The Dutch coach has been confirmed this week and will travel to Old Trafford this summer to start straightening out the ‘red devils’ trend.
United took a complete casting to find a coach capable of bringing the team back to the top and finally the bet was on Ten Hag.
Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Lopetegui and even Wayne Rooney rang out to oversee the Mancunian team. The Englishman was even offered to return to Old Trafford as Ten Hag’s second, as detailed in The Athletic, but he rejected this suggested possibility by wanting to continue leading Derby County, which recently lost the category and will play in League One (third division) next course.
Rooney is liked for his great knowledge of the club and will be an authority figure in United’s difficult dressing room. But the Englishman’s big dream is to put himself in team management once he has enough experience and doesn’t go into second roles.
