Enrique Cerezo president of Atlético de Madrid, mourned the death of Amancio Amaro, a Real Madrid legend, highlighting his personality and greatness as a player, saying he was “one of the best players in the history of Spanish football”.
“That’s a shame Amancio passed away, he was a great player and a terrific person. Any football fan has to pay tribute to him now because one of the best players in the history of Spanish football has left,” he said.
