This weekend sees the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season and as always, the opening event marks the premiere of some names at the Great Circus. This campaign will have three rookies: Oscar Piastri, Logan Sargeant and Nick de Vries. In addition, there is also room for the return of familiar faces, as is the case with Nico Hülkenberg.

Oscar Piastri
McLaren
The Australian was the star of one of the most controversial signings in memory. When Alpine announced it, he rejected the deal and soon after his arrival in the Woking team was made official.
Despite being only 21 years old, Piastri is a champion in F3 and F2. In fact, along with Leclerc, he was the only one to win the championship before Formula 1 for the first time.

nyck devries
AlphaTauri
Dutch history is most curious. Despite winning in lower categories such as F2, he did not find a place in F1. He was a test driver for Mercedes while competing in other championships such as Formula E. The opportunity came to replace Albon at Williams in the last Italian GP and he was impressive, beating Latifi. He still scored points and that was the key for AlphaTauri to fish him again to replace Gasly

Probably the most famous name. The officialization of his signing was delayed a little more than desired because the American still lacked a few points to have the important super license to reach the highest category. The 22-year-old comes from F2, where he had two wins and four podiums last season.
The
Williams had to replace Laitif and for many the decision to switch to Sargeant was something of a surprise. In fact, the team admitted they had a plan B, which would probably consist of acquiring the services of Mick Schumacher, who was left without a seat in Sainz.
