The Juventus presented this Tuesday the appeal to the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) for the sanction imposed by fifteen points on Serie A for the ‘capital gains case’, where the Italian club is being investigated for increasing the market value of footballers to generate higher income on their transfers and balance sheet this way.
The requests of ‘Juve’ in the appeal presented to the CONI Sports Guarantee College, the third and final level of justice in the country’s sports, which said to withdraw the sports sanction.
Because the Court of Appeal of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) explained on January 30 that the 15-point penalty imposed on Juventus for generating capital gains to balance the balance sheets was due to “serious and the repeated and prolonged nature of the offense”, the Turin club has 30 days to file an appeal against the decision.
On March 27, the preliminary hearing will take place within the framework of the ‘Prisma’ investigation, which is investigating whether the Italian club made fictitious capital gains and irregular salary maneuvers with some of the its player, on March 27.
The Court is investigating whether the Italian club increased the real market price of its players in order to obtain a greater benefit in its subsequent sale (case of capital gains) and postponement of payments to some players in the 2020 financial year that are not included in the balance of the aforementioned year (falsification of accounts).
