“My period in Sevilla ended in a good way”

Julen Lopetegui, former coach of Seville and now on wolverhampton English, reviewed his time at Sánchez Pizjuán in an interview with DAZN.

“That episode ended in a way, within the circumstances of how things end, nice. With a recognition which is taken for oneself. It is part of the past and the past is the past. We are very proud of in everything we have done ”, assured the technician in a conversation with the streaming platform.

The former Spanish coach also acknowledges that he is now fully focused on his current team: “We are very responsible and focused on what we should do in the present with the wolves”.

In the course of the interview, Lopetegui mentioned some of the signings made at Wolves since his arrival, such as Pablo Sarabia: “He’s a great player and he’s at an amazing age. He came with the right mindset to help the team in the situation we are in. That is definitely, not only the quality of football, but also the mentality that a player can have and the intelligence and maturity. This is important right now where we are. We are a team with a lot of very young players and I think we need that and it suits us”.

And he also refers the conversation to Diego Costa already Adama Traore: “Both Diego and Adama are doing well. Diego came from being away from what was elite competition for a while, but he showed the competitiveness that he has inside him by working very, very hard, being in a very interesting physical level and trying to put his experience at the service of the team in any need; sometimes to play starting, sometimes to play off the bench. And Adama is a boy who, within the particular character he shows in his football conditions, is trying to develop and improve and become a more complete player”.
