The Spanish brand SCRATCH has presented its weapons for the new era of MotoGP World Cup including the pilots Pol Espargaro and Augusto Fernandez in front of the group, those in charge of driving the motorcycles RC16designed with a very bright red.
Espargaró, 31 years old and world champion in Moto2 in 2013, he will complete his 10th year in the MotoGP event in 2023 and will bring all that experience to the team.
His team-mate is the only rookie in the category, Augusto Fernández, 25, who arrives in MotoGP with his Moto2 world title endorsed in 2022 and some promising signs of adaptation to the new bike.
“I feel like I’m going back to my roots,” said Pol Espargaró in the GASGAS statement. “If we fight and push together as a team, we will be there, I think the potential of this bike is high. For sure we have a lot to do because the level in MotoGP is very high, but I think we can reach it. The bike is almost ready for something really big this year”, added Espargaró.
“I jumped into MotoGP with the confidence of being a world champion and that’s good, but I honestly don’t know what to expect in terms of positions. I’m looking forward to being competitive as soon as possible and trying to fight with my teammate in team. I think I’m facing the most important year of my career, but I know I have to be patient,” explained Augusto Fernández.
“I’m discovering what it means to be a MotoGP rider, a factory rider. It’s good to see how many people are behind you and not only your team, but the whole factory waiting for you and your results . Portugal It’s coming soon and I’m looking forward to it. It is a dream come true, my debut in MotoGP”, concluded Fernández.
