The 9th edition of Unirun, the university race, was a huge success

The colors of twelve Catalan universities they attacked again UNIRUN circuitwhich passed the shores of Barcelona and of Sant Adria de Besos.

The winner of the men’s event was Victor Ortiz (14:57)from the University of Barcelona, ​​​​​​while the first woman to cross the finish line was Rosalía Tárraga (17:23), from adidas. The second and third positions in the male category are occupied by representatives of the University of Barcelona, Miquel Domenech (15:14) and Pau Capdevila (15.21). And in the female category, among the runners of the University of Lleida, Paula Hritiuc (18:07) and Noemí García (18:09).

The test is driven by ECU (University Catalan Sports)with the support of General Secretary of Sports and Physical Activityhe Barcelona City Council and the Town Hall of Sant Adrià de Besòs. UNIRUN 2023, sponsored by adidas and organized by Gaudium Sports, was a success in terms of participation, with more than 5,000 runners and registrations sold out in two weeks.

The UNIRUN 2023 Champions Cup was won, for the 8th time, by University of Barcelonawith 294 points. The Polytechnic University of Cataloniasecond (778 points) and the Autonomous University of Barcelonathird (1,092 points), occupied the other two places of the podium.

It should be noted that the % participation by gender is 53% male and 47% female and the % registered under 24 years of age is 71.17%.
